Grayson: 8 months

Weight/length:

Grayson is somewhere between 20 and 21 pounds and probably around 29 inches long. He is SO big! I can't get over it. :) We are in 9 month clothes and size 3 diapers (Sam's Club brand). He is taking 4 bottles a day-- usually 6 oz each (sometimes 8 oz first thing in the morning). He is also taking a sippy cup 1-2 times a day, as well as is eating 3 meals a day. We are braving finger foods and Grayson has been enjoying puffs. He's still not good at feeding himself, but he is trying! We have also tried strawberries, spinach, blueberries and macaroni and cheese (which he did not care for...what???).

Sleep:

Sleeping like a champ from 6:30/7-until 6 and napping twice a day for about an 1 to 1.5 hours each. Every now and again he will "cry out" or talk in his sleep, but he won't even move when he does this. I feel really lucky that he is so easy to put down. Literally, we don't rock, give a bottle, use a pacy....NOTHING for sleeping. We read a book, kiss him, and lay him down for naps and night time. We've been doing that since he was 3 months old. (maybe less? I don't remember) I felt proud at daycare when his teacher said that he is the perfect baby and as long as she's worked there, she's never had a baby that she can just lay down and he will fall asleep on his own. I mean....just saying. Let's hope she didn't jinx it, haha! :)

Likes:

Grayson loves to eat his food, Mickey Mouse, trying to stand, smiling, laughing, pushing around in his walker, playing with his rattle rings, sprouts pouches, rolling/scooting, bath time, and his daddy :)

Dislikes:

Grayson hates the being tired, sitting still, having his nose wiped, not being able to get where he wants to go, and being constipated

Milestones:

We are talking up a storm, saying 'mama' and 'dada,' along with lots of babbling and happy screeching. He is learning to wave, clap, and use his fingers. He still hasn't mastered the pincer grasp yet, but he is definitely working on it. Poor boy still can't crawl, but he will rock around with his stomach off the ground. However, he gets frustrated with that, and will simply scoot and crawl where he needs to go. Over the past couple of weeks, he's been pulling himself up on his zebra push walker from a sitting position....and tonight he tried to stand up in the bath tub. I have a feeling that when he figures out the crawling, it won't last long. Yikes.

And still.....NO teeth. Haha.....Gums forever!!

Love this wild man!
