18 Weeks

How far along? 18 Weeks
Symptoms? Holy round ligament pains! I had a few the other day that literally made me double over. All I could think was, if these hurt that bad, how will I ever handle labor?? I'm still not sure about all that. Yikes.
Maternity clothes? Oh yes.  I was also so excited to find a cute pair of black maternity skinnies (not leggings--actual pants!) from A Pea in the Pod---for 50% off! Score!
Sleep: I'm sleeping well, but often wake up very sore from staying on one side for the majority of the night. Normally, I'm a back sleeper, so I absolutely detest sleeping on my side. I've also been having a few issues with night sweats, however with the help of the ceiling fan and a stand fan, we've been keeping the sweats at bay!
Best moment this week: Hanging out in Atlanta over the weekend! We got to hang out with Christopher's parents, go to the College Football Hall of Fame, watch lots of drum corps at the Georgia Dome, and catch up with lots of long, lost friends. Not to mention, we got sundaes at Ghiradelli before coming home on Sunday. Muir Woods....I love you! Scrumptious!!!
Have you told family and friends: everyone knows!
Miss Anything? Deli sandwiches! Christopher had a turkey sandwich from Wich-wich the other day and I was literally drooling over it. It smelled so stinkin' good and I was very jealous! A deli sammy may have to be one of the first things I eat after baby is born. If one more person tells me I could just warm one up, I might just punch them. A warm deli sandwich is an abomination!
Movement: Yes! Little man is a wiggle worm! He got excited during quite a few corps these weekend--just like his mom and dad! (please just don't want to play drums like dad, kiddo!)
Food cravings: Mercy Alive. I LOVE food right now. I'm not sure if there is anything I don't like...besides what I normally don't like. I think if there is anything that sounds super yummy all the time, that would have to be Chinese food. Aaaaaand cobbler. Thanks, Tom, for sharing some cherry cobbler with me at Pucketts!! MMMMMM!!!!
Anything making you queasy or sick: In the clear and feeling great!
Have you started to show yet: Bumping and growing
Gender prediction: Turtle head
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy and anxious---but more anxious about school starting!
Weekly Wisdom: Be productive and positive!
Looking forward to: Having a nice weekend at home with the hubby and the kitty---as well as starting our registry for the little guy!

Here are some pics from the weekend! We had a great time!

17 Weeks

How far along? 17 Weeks
Symptoms? Occasional round ligament pains and whoa, dreams! I have the most vivid dreams all night long! Last nigh,t I had a dream that I went a whole semester forgetting to go to one of my classes and didn't get to graduate from college. I woke up panicked! Another time, I had a dream zombies were chasing Elsa. I have no explanations (except for Lisa Cooper always talking about the Walking Dead). Pregnancy is just all kinds of weird.
Maternity clothes? Yes, I am very comfortable in my maternity pants. I have also been shopping for tops that are a just a bigger size than I would normally wear. I've been having fun mixing and matching pieces that are maternity/non-maternity.
Sleep: Sleep is way better than it was last week. I've been sleeping hard in the night, with my occasional tinkle breaks. Also, (like I said before) I keep having these unusual and vibrant dreams.
Best moment this week: Getting to spend the weekend with the Abramsons and Solomonsons. We had a great time celebrating Madam's birthday, eating pancakes, shopping, and watching drum corps!
Have you told family and friends: Yep!
Miss Anything? I really want a heath bar blizzard from Dairy Queen. However, due to listeria concerns, soft serve ice cream is off the the table. :(
Movement: Yes...I've felt some little flutters in my lower tummy a few times. It's just hard to tell what is baby boy squirming and what is gas bubbles.
Food cravings: I could really go for a bacon and cheese quiche from Puffy Muffin with poppy bread. (Annnnd blackberry cobbler with ice cream from Chop House. Holy yummm!!!) Over all, my appetite is much improved and I am  hungry for just about anything and I feel like I could eat all day long. NOT good! haha!
Anything making you queasy or sick:Nope! Feeling great! (and hungry!)
Have you started to show yet: Bumpity bump!
Gender prediction: It's a boy!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy--and feeling excited!  And a little sad...but that's just because summer vacation is almost over.
Weekly Wisdom: Nap when you can.....the days of sleeping are going to gone very soon!
Looking forward to: Going to DCI Atlanta this weekend! Yay!

I feel like this is me right now... hahahaha!

Use a penny to scratch and

16 Weeks

How far along? 16 Weeks
Maternity clothes? Graduated to maternity pants. I could prb get away with my regular pants, but maternity leggings and jeans are WAY more comfortable. :)
Sleep: Sleep and I aren't getting along this week. I am still getting up at least once in the night to go to the bathroom, but after I lay back down, I am WIDE awake. The other night I was up from 1-4 just tossing and turning....and then I got up at 5:30 when Christopher went to work. Ick. Naps help, but don't suffice. I hope this is a short-lived phase, as I only have 11 days until I am back to work as well. WAH!
Best moment this week: Telling our parents baby's gender and getting our "scratch reveal" cards in the mail. Everyone should know soon! Yay! Also, relaxing at home and getting errands accomplished. Not to mention, buying our first ipad. (I know, aren't we behind the times?) Thanks, Christmas in July!
Have you told family and friends: Yep!
Miss Anything? Diet Cokes ( yes....I am bad, and I have sneaked a few.....but still....miss my daily dose) and being able to eat a meal without getting full so quickly
Movement: Perhaps! Last night in bed, I was laying on my left side (trying to get comfortable) when I felt what was like little twinges in my lower abdomen. I don't want to say flutters, because I don't know what flutters feel like. It happened a couple of times in a matter of minutes and when I rolled over, it stopped. I think it may have been baby!
Food cravings: McDonald's fries...... so bad. And blackberry cobbler! yum!
Anything making you queasy or sick: I've been feeling really good this week! I even had grilled chicken for the first time in months! Yay!
Have you started to show yet: We have a bump!
Gender prediction: Not going to say just yet ;-)
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy--except when I can't sleep!
Weekly Wisdom: Be productive and get your to-do list accomplished. But nap when you can, because, duh.
Looking forward to: Having our extended family (The Abe's and Solo's) coming in for a weekend of food and drum corps! Can't wait to reveal the gender news to them in person! Can't Wait! :)

Stay Tuned.....Gender Reveal this week!

15 Week Sneak Peek!

We had our 3D early gender scan today!

And Baby Tanner is.....

Still a secret!

Sorry friends! Yes, we know baby's gender...however, we want a few important people (family/close friends, etc) to know first and THEN, we will spill the beans to all!

We are absolutely thrilled and excited! Getting to see baby today was magical and I had leaky eyes the whole time....but I'm hormonal, so at least I have a good excuse!

Here are a few pics from the appointment....Enjoy! :)

Hand over face....enough, mom!

15 Weeks

How far along? 15 Weeks
Maternity clothes? I can still wear some of my regular pants with the help of hair ties, but I've been leaning more towards maternity pants. They are SO comfortable...I'm thinking I am going to go shopping for some work maternity clothes pretty soon.
Sleep: Sleeping really well, especially now that we have our new king bed!!!!
Best moment this week: Hanging with Christopher's parents and getting the baby's room painted. Also, hearing little bit's heartbeat again today. :)
Have you told family and friends: Yep!
Miss Anything? Still deli sandwiches....I am really craving a Blimpie's sub! And salami!
Movement: I haven't felt anything yet, but at my doctor's appointment today, we could hear baby kicking. (sounds like scratching on the doppler) Doctor said baby sounded like it was doing flips today!
Food cravings: Anything and everything....my appetite is back!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not much.....on occasion, I'll feel crummy for no reason at all, but over, WAY better than even 2 weeks ago.
Have you started to show yet: Little bump!
Gender prediction: I'm thinking boy!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy....with an occasional meltdown. Still easily irritated...
Weekly Wisdom: Soak in everyday.....days are long, but weeks are short! Months are even shorter. Life is going to change before you know it.
Looking forward to: Our early gender ultrasound tomorrow!!!!!!!

Also, here is our new bed......LOVE LOVE LOVE!

(Not to mention I got a seriously good deal on the new sheets and comforter from
 Home Goods..... Sweet!!!!)

14 Weeks

How far along? 14 Weeks
Maternity clothes? Same as last week, even though a pair of pants that fit me last week would NOT button this week. I had to use a hair tie to keep them on. My belly is definitely firmer and poking out more, so I may be in the maternity pants full time pretty soon.
Sleep: I'm starting to believe in that "2nd trimester energy boost." A few weeks ago, I could barely stay up until 7. If I did anything, I would be completely worn out and in great need a nap. Over the past few days, I've started feeling like my "normal" self again. I can go shopping or run errands without feeling like I've run a marathon. I'm sleeping well overall, with at least one nightly tinkle trip.
Best moment this week: Being with Christopher's family in Chicago for his cousin Pam's wedding. AND buying our KING SIZED BED! YES!!!!! I cannot wait for it to be delivered. :-D
Have you told family and friends: Yep!
Miss Anything? Caffeine and hot dogs. :(
Movement: I know that little stinker is moving more and more...and I'm anxious to feel it!
Food cravings: Portillo's hamburgers. I was able to satisfy this craving twice in Chicago....I'm so sad we don't have one here!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Grilled chicken is still a no go, but the thought of it doesn't make me gag anymore (yay!) I've been feeling so much better overall; only really feeling nauseous sometimes right before bed or after brushing my teeth.
Have you started to show yet: Firm, little bump!
Gender prediction: I'm thinking snakes and snails
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, but VERY easily annoyed. The guy at Mattress Firm really ticked me off when he wouldn't let us leave. Needless to say, he did NOT make a sale.
Weekly Wisdom: Enjoy time with the ones you love.
Looking forward to: Our early gender scan next week! Is Baby T a he or a she???
