Spring! Wait....think again.

Oh, the south and our crazy weather. One day it was 70, last night it was 29. Yuck.

Unfortunately, I fall victim to spring born pollen allergies every year around this time and this week's weather was just enough to leave me drippy and hoarse. Boo. I guess I just can't win?

My solution? Go back to Disney World. Sounds like a good plan to me!

Spring Break 2015

I'm back! Did you miss me?

Where have I been, you ask?

Only at the happiest place on Earth!

Shortly after our miscarriage, my sweet hubby began planning a trip for us; a fresh start, if you will. Our "happy place" has always been Disney World. Both of us love everything about the resorts, the parks, and the sheer magic that is WDW. We've been together many times, but it never gets old and neither of us can never seem to have enough of the magic!
*Not to mention it is where we were engaged....6 years ago!? (has it been that long??)

Anyways....he planned the ultimate trip for us and we had such a wonderful, refreshing time. We went to all four parks, Blizzard Beach, cirque de soleil, played mini golf, and ate ourselves silly. The highlight of our trip was a private cruise where we were able to watch the Wishes Fireworks (the same fireworks we watched prior to our engagement) on a boat in the lagoon in front of Magic Kingdom. If that wasn't enough, Christopher planned to have balloons, an anniversary banner, and a light up "castle" cake for us to celebrate our early anniversary and new beginnings. It was truly magical and I feel immensely blessed.

This was definitely exactly what we needed to have our new start after everything that has happened in the past few months and I feel very fortunate we were able to do this together. Now if I could just accept that we are back to reality.....

Here are a few highlight pics from our trip....there are too many to post! :)

Pictures from our private cruise! So awesome!!

*Author's Note: Over the past week, I ate like I was auditioning for "My 600 Pound Life." Time for detox!

Spring Has Sprung

Now that the ice and snow have gone away, we have had a few glimpses of spring...and I couldn't be happier! I LOVE this time of year. This past weekend's weather was amazing: sunny, blue skies, and temps near 70. Bliss! This week has been pretty rainy, however, the temperatures have been between the 50's and 60's....and hey, that's way better than temps in the teens!!!

Since this warmer weather has me excited, I decided to make a list of some of my favorite spring/early summer things!

1. Rainbow flip-flops. I  live in my Rainbows all spring, summer, and early fall. Seriously, the best sandals ever! I have had mine since 2008, so I'm thinking it may be time to get a new pair...but they are so worn in and comfy, I may wait one more year!

2. Asics running shoes. When I'm not living in flip flops, you can find me in a pair of Asics! Warmer weather puts me in the mood to get moving and while I like some other styles of athletic shoes, I have found Asics are my only love for walking/running. I struggle with shin splints and these are the only athletic shoe that help my shins not kill after a work out!

3. Baseball caps (preferably Memphis Tiger related). I love to wear my hair in a pony tail, and there are no better accessories than my hats! Love them and would wear them everyday if I could!

4. Nike Shorts. These are my favorite shorts for lounging, going out, and exercising. Unfortunately, I usually feel like most girls shorts are way too short, but these Nike shorts are the perfect length.
Love them and have them in an array of colors!

5. Over-sized sweatshirt or pullover fleece. Even though the weather is warmer, mornings can still be cool and that's why I am crazy about these fleecy pullovers.

6. Yoga Capris. When I'm not in my athletic shorts, there is a good chance you will find me in my yoga capris. There is also a good chance I won't be doing yoga while wearing them.

7. Zyrtec. Without this magic drug, I wouldn't be able to enjoy spring. I can pop one of these babies every 24 hours and kiss my weepy, red eyes and snotty nose good-bye! I just wish it could keep that green pollen off my car!

8. Sonic Rt. 44 Diet Coke. Alright, this isn't just a spring thing. I could take one of these every season. I don't know why, but Sonic's diet coke taste even better than every day diet coke. It must be the Sonic ice....

Rain, rain, go away!
I'm ready for sun and 70 TODAY!
